In the fall of 2018 I participated in Field_notes, an “art & science field laboratory at the Kilpisjärvi Biological Station in Lapland/Finland.”
The topic was “Ecology of the Senses,” and my working group was focused on the topic of augury, that is, portending the future from natural signs. I have never experienced such an innovative and creative space for letting my curiosity run wild. It was as beautiful and stimulating as it was intellectually rigorous.
